Battery Technician - 
Qualifications
Experience:
Electrical or mechanical, 1 year (Preferred)
DC Power or Battery, 1 year (Preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing quarterly battery maintenance on large uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems utilizing Alber cellcorder (provided)
Responsible for installation and removal of batteries and peripheral equipment for UPS systems.
Must be proficient with performing battery preventative maintenance per I.E.E.E standards.

Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe or unsecure conditions, use equipment and materials properly.
Strong communication skills required. Express concerns and thoughts in written and verbal form, exhibit good listening and comprehension skills, keeps others adequately informed, uses appropriate communication methods and tools.
Teamwork environment – Establish and maintain effective relations with internal and external customers, exhibits tact and consideration, offers assistance and support to co-workers when needed.
Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Must be dependable and follow instruction, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions, complete tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
Must be mechanically and Electrically inclined.
Experience in battery testing & maintenance, DC power, telecom / central office work or other electrical related skills.
Meet or exceed customer and internal company project completion goals and quality standards.
Must follow OSHA, NFPA70e, I.E.E.E and company’s safety procedures.
Ability to work various work shifts and varied weekly schedules to meet customer completion needs.
Must be willing to undergo a drug screen and background checks.
Working Conditions:

This position requires some travel.
Walking and standing for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 100 Lbs.
Work in high noise level conditions.
Must have experience or the ability to learn the operation of various types of test equipment.

Company vehicle provided.
